Born on January 10, 1974 to then film star Rakesh Roshan (now producer/director) and wife Pinky, Hrithik (aka Duggu) grew up in the world of cinema, not truly understanding the hardships that one must endure to achieve success in the industry.

It was one of Hrithik's earliest dreams to follow in his father's footsteps, and grow up be an actor one day. And when he graduated out of Sydneham College with a Bachelor's in commerce in tow, though his parents (Rakesh and Pinky Roshan) were keen on him continuing his studies abroad, Hrithik knew it was finally time to take the plunge.
